Usability of Financial Systems, the theme for World Usability Day 2012, will investigate and advance the application of user-centered design methodologies to financial systems and services.

As the global economy is facing difficult times financially, we think the promotion of more usable financial systems could assist in creating better decision-making models. We hope that events associated with World Usability Day will present opportunities to leverage, integrate, and advance the work of multiple disciplines to make a significant contribution to improving consumer financial knowledge and decision-making.

The breadth of this year’s theme is quite astounding and we hope to engage everyone from game platform designers to behavioral finance researchers to consumer advocates. We look forward to seeing a wide range of events associated with this timely theme.
