Host City
Triangle UXPA World Usablity Day
Description
Technologists have finally understood that utopianism has run its course. The days of inexorable, starry-eyed disruption are gone; public, press, and governments alike now treat the tech industry’s promises with suspicion. Tech companies may have moved fast, but they also broke many things.
In recent years an ethics movement has erupted within the tech sector – but it too faces a difficult future. Questions of impact dog the field, and its vocal figures have faced resistance or even outright hostility from the companies they advise.
