2020 pandemic shattered everyone, but many individuals and communities united to help others. People are supported by donating money, their time, and utilizing their skills to help solve the problems in the communities. This session will highlight a few case studies on how design and designers can go beyond our everyday job and help solve issues in our community. How does design have the ability to influence Gen Z to contribute to the common good, and how the design can be democratized to help other designers to be successful in such uncertain times. The session will expand on what is ‘Design for Good’ and how designers can go beyond our role as a designer.
