Inclusion: Sex, Gender, Race in UX Teams
The world is changing and the climate of well-balanced and open society is not as prevalent as many of us would like. Technology is developing alongside new political changes. This year, 2017 is a pivotal moment in history and we can help shape the course of events by the work we do.
For our 2017 event, we’re looking at issues of inclusion. In our field, we are uniquely positioned to research, understand, and solve complex problems that benefit thousands while working with, and for, an extremely diverse audience. While we celebrate our differences, sometimes they can cause conflict or confusion.
UXPALA invites a diverse group of speakers working in Tech, UX and complementary disciplines to discuss their perspective on the current state of Sex, Gender, Race, in regards to hiring practices, forming teams and productive development. We’ll discuss the types of changes we look to see in our field, and how inclusion benefits a company, team, product and user.
