Brandeis Fix-it clinic
Join us in the Library Makerspace for a special **Fix-It Clinic** in celebration of **World Usability Day**! This hands-on event brings together community members, makers, designers, and problem-solvers to repair everyday items while exploring how thoughtful, human-centered design can make products more sustainable, accessible, and easier to use.
Instead of throwing broken items away, bring them to the Makerspace and work alongside volunteers who can help diagnose problems, suggest repairs, and teach valuable repair skills. Whether it’s a small appliance, household item, toy, or another well-loved object, you’ll have the opportunity to give it a second life while learning something new.
The event also celebrates the principles of World Usability Day, a global initiative dedicated to improving the way people interact with technology, products, and services. Through hands-on activities and informal conversations, you’ll discover how usability, accessibility, and sustainable design can reduce waste, strengthen communities, and create better experiences for everyone.
