Climate change is arguably the most urgent problem of our time. The impact of climate change is different but serious for everyone on the planet as it impacts everyone’s experience.

By going beyond user experience (UX) and including relational design we can look at our whole world, together to solve to problems resulting from climate change, Moving past human centered and expanding usability to include a sustainable planet by including all species and their ecosystems. Human centered design has disowned other life specifics and their ecosystems with disastrous effects for our planet.

This workshop will expand UX and Usability to include a hard look at climate change.Working with people on the ground, those directly coping with life changing consequences of climate change, such as fires and floods empower people to cope with crises and change our behavior to think of usability as including all species and their ecosystems. We will work in small groups for short training to be empowered to solve problems as they arise. This will create strong skills people can use, on the ground, to learn how to be proactive and lead with curiosity, not fear.

In Munich the conference followed the theme of the year: Collaboration and Cooperation, with an additional track introducing to UX for new professionals, students and anyone interested.
– The program offered presentations in two parallel tracks.
– It took place at the International University SDI München, Baierbrunner Str. 28 in Munich.

As every year, there is a theme for World Usability Day in 2023, and this year’s theme is “Collaboration and Cooperation”. More than ever, we need to work together to solve our world’s biggest problems. In 2023, we will focus on collaboration and cooperative work that produces real solutions together. At WUD Aalen, we will certainly address areas other than the annual theme. Either way: you can be curious!

The theme for this year’s World Usability Day is Collaboration & Co-operation and how that fits in to the world of UX.

Kevin Richardson, Senior Director of User Experience and Product Management at INVIDI Technologies, is coming along to talk about his experiences over the last 3 decades.

As always this is a great way to meet the team at User Vision, join in the fun, network with many other UX professionals, and see what UX can bring to your business.

Also this year interested visitors have the opportunity to get impressions of new interaction concepts at the chair for Human-Computer-Interaction at the University of Bamberg in the context of the World Usability Day. Among other things, there will be the opportunity to try out the eye tracker of the chair.

World Usability Day Estonia (WUD) is an annual UX-, web- and interaction design conference, the largest in the Baltics. WUD 2023 topic is “Collaboration and Cooperation”. This year’s WUD theme encompasses the essence of effective teamwork and smooth interaction in the realm of User Experience (UX). We aim to shed light on the significance of synergy and collective effort in driving innovation and fostering a cohesive UX community. The spotlight of this year’s activities is on the critical role of collaboration and cooperation among professionals, experts, and stakeholders in creating excellent user-centric designs and experiences.
