- Guest Speaker and Interview: This year we welcome Neil Atkinson from RNIB (Royal National Institute of Blind People) Scotland for a presentation and interview on the challenges that visually impaired users face with technology and the most effective solutions.
- Unintended Consequences in UX: Through examples and discussion, we’ll present the framework of unintended consequences in product and service design. See examples and learn how to use this to understand and avoid these consequences during design.
- Accessible Gaming: In collaboration with TripleTapTech, experience how individuals with disabilities engage with video games using assistive technologies. Join a fun discussion on inclusive game design and have a play!
- Understand UX benchmarking and how quantitative user research can give you useful UX research insights, and see our leading quantitative and qualitative user research tool MUiQ.
- Screen Reader Workshop: Gain hands-on experience with the NVDA (NonVisual Desktop Access) screen reader. Complete fun tasks, time-limited challenges and learn the essentials of screen reader navigation.
- Explore common accessibility challenges we find during our reviews and we’ll review your own website in our accessibility surgery.
- Trauma-Informed User Research and Design: Learn about the trauma-informed research framework and how UX researchers and designers can apply it for better research and design outcomes.
- Usability Testing: Take part in usability testing and have your own website tested to reveal hidden UX and accessibility insights. We’ll include tests with people with disabilities with support from experts from RNIB and TripleTapTech.
