We are putting together a broad program related to many sides of Usability and UX: We'll not only have talks from researchers but also from local practicioners as well a a report from the Open Source community about how Usability and UX work in their settings. Furthermore, there will be an extended Demo and Hands-on session with projects, tools as well as machines, mainly from our Fab Lab - so there will be plenty of opportunity to play with all sorts of interesting things from leap motions to google glass up to 3d-printers and lasercutters.
World Usability Day is observed Nov. 14 with events around the globe. The University of Missouri-Rolla is helping to sponsor a World Usability Day event from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 14, at the St. Louis Science Center.
Participants can test their skills at setting various alarm clocks, provide usability feedback about Web sites and experience other hands-on displays.
On Saturday November 10th, 2007, usability volunteers will guide Saint Louis Science Center guests through various hands-on activities that illustrate the issues and science of usability in healthcare. In addition, brief presentations will be given throughout the day providing insight and real-world examples of usability in healthcare. Among the exhibits will be:

World Usability Day (WUD) will take place this Saturday, November 23 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Saint Louis Science Center. This is our big UX event where we promote UX to the general public. We would love to have you work part of the day and/or have your company host a table activity. Typically around 3,000 attendees go through the event. We hand out giveaways, provide snacks, and provide you the opportunity to teach kids and parents about what we do.
This year’s World Usability Day theme is the Usability of Financial Systems. This should be a huge theme for St Louis. We will celebrate the day at the St Louis Science Center on November 3rd from 10-2.

Join the User Experience Professionals Assoication of Dallas, as we celebrate World Usability Day 2013 at Sabre. At this meeting, you have lots to do:
• Visit booths in Building A, where different teams talk on UX methods.
• Check out a usability test in the Sabre Usability Lab.
• Register for some cool prizes throughout the day.
• Play some games at several of the booths.
