 <title>Kick-Off Event at UPA International Conference in Austin on June 13 2007</title>

 <description>&lt;p&gt;The UPA International Conference in Austin hosted the kick-off event for  World Usability Day 2007 on June 13 with a program entitled &amp;ldquo; Healthcare  Usability in the Trenches.&amp;rdquo;&amp;nbsp; The theme for World Usability Day 2007 is  &lt;strong&gt;Healthcare.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The program featured Jason Rossback, Zoll Data Systems, Theo Mandel, Ph.D, Interface Design and Development, LLC, Janine Purcell from the Veterans Health Administration and Ed Israelski from Abbott. Additionally, Elizabeth Rosenzweig Founder and Director of World Usability Day and Caryn Saitz, Executive Director discussed exciting upcoming plans for 2007.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;

Personas are fictional people based on real data. It is a vehicle for bring our users alive; and a practical tool to prioritize features and maintain focus on target users. In the session, we will learn how to create a Persona that represents real data of the target users, how to let the product team aware of its importance, and willing to apply it throughout product development, and the benefits and dangers of using the Persona along with a few stories sharing from you and me.
