World Usability Day OWL

On every second Thursday in November, the World Usability Day (WUD) foster the worldwide band to celebrate the achievements and insights on the subject of Usability and User Experience (UX), as well as to communicate and strengthen their significance in the world. Digitization is increasingly moving into our everyday work. The work changes through a variety of different software solutions. We will have a look at the effects of interactive products and systems in the world in which we live and work. How can they be shaped together so that we can make a meaningful use of it and profitably use the added value?

This year again, the World Usability Day will take place in Ostwestfalen-Lippe (OWL). After a successful start in 2011, the Software Innovation Campus Paderborn (SICP) is organizing the second WUD together with the itemis AG and the project "Arbeit 4.0 - Lösungen für die Arbeitswelt der Zukunft" (en. Work 4.0 - Solutions for the Working World of the Future), funded by the European Fund for Regional Development (EFRD - or EFRE in German). dSPACE GmbH will be hosting the World Usability Day OWL in its conference rooms in Paderborn.

Within the framework of lectures and workshops, we would like to present and discuss current trends, potentials and challenges of software solutions and digital assistance systems.
