World Usability Day Silesia

World Usability Day Silesia

WUD Silesia in an educational, non-profit event, dedicated to UX/Usability, that takes place in Silesia continually since 2010. It aims at popularizing the knowledge of designing usable products and services. The conference is organized as part of world-wide initiative World Usability Day, commenced by Usability Professionals Association that brings together UX professionals from all over the world. The Silesian edition of WUD is organized by Future Processing and friends – partner institutions and volunteers.

Each edition of the conference has its theme. This year it is ENGAGEMENT. When working on the event, we looked for the people, who are engaged in many different fields, not only UX. We wanted to show that we cannot talk about usability without engaging all of those who are influenced by the project.

In the last four editions, WUD Silesia conference hosted more than a thousand participants from Poland, and nearly eighty speakers from Poland and abroad. Among others, we had the honor to host: Professor Eric Brangier from Université Paul Verlaine in Metz, Jonathan West from Helen Hamlyn Center for Design, Mark Kramer from the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria, Chriss Brooker – a designer from Design Wales, Zbigniew Nawrat, Ph.D. – co-creator of cardiosurgical robot Robin Heart, and many others. This year, we also invited fantastic speakers, experts in their fields. You may look at their profiles and the conference agenda.
