World Usability Day 2013 at User Vision

On Thursday 14th November User Vision will be hosting our 9th annual free World Usability Day event featuring a range of fun and interesting activities and demos to learn about the world of usability and user experience.

This year the theme of World Usability Day is “Healthcare: Collaborating For Better Systems”. When it comes to managing healthcare, having the right information provided in a timely manner, in a way that is clear and unambiguous, is crucial to providing positive outcomes. And with the recent growth in self-management of healthcare information, the usability of these systems is as important to the patient themselves as it is to the healthcare professionals.
We will be offering attendees the chance to combine hearing from interesting speakers and getting hands-on with a wide range of tasks including:

• Get your own site’s mobile experience health-checked at our free “Mobile UX Surgery”
• Try out the latest 3D gesture control system and see if manipulating 3D objects with your hands is easier than using keyboard and mouse!
• See how we can use eye-tracking technology to evaluate the experience of physical spaces.
• Hear from the Head of Research & Usability at a leading product design company on the challenges of designing usable products in the healthcare space
• And much more…

Come and join us on the 14th to look how the use of new technology can be used in the design, evaluation and improvement of the user experience, both in the healthcare field and beyond into all our sectors.
